Today, I’m starting my review of the Black Magic Intense Graphene Tire Shine featuring Graphene Armor Nano Technology. This is Part 1, where I’ll apply the product, check for sling, and share my initial thoughts. Part 2 will cover durability and how well the shine holds up over time.
What the Product Promises
Black Magic claims insane shine and protection for weeks. We’ll find out if this product truly lives up to those bold claims.
Application Process
The instructions recommend spraying directly on clean tires, waiting 2–3 minutes, then wiping away any overspray. However, from my experience, especially with solvent-based tire shines like this one—which tend to be oilier—direct spraying often causes messes on wheels, floors, and even your hands.
Instead, I always weigh the bottle before use for accurate cost calculation — this bottle started at 1.02 pounds.
I recommend using an applicator pad and starting with just 3 sprays, adding more only if needed. Checking Amazon’s lower-star reviews, common complaints include messiness, long drying times, and sling. Following my applicator method can avoid all these issues.
How It Went
Working the product in with the applicator pad, I found that only 6 sprays were needed for great coverage. The bottle now weighs 1.01 pounds, meaning I used just 0.01 pounds of product — costing only about 16 cents per tire.
After about 30 minutes and a quick drive up to 50 mph around the neighborhood, the tire shine held up well with no sling or streaking.
Initial Thoughts
The product spreads evenly and dries consistently without blotches. There’s a noticeable scent, but it’s not overpowering. The shine is strong and noticeably better than the untreated control section of the tire.
I’ll continue monitoring this tire shine’s performance over the coming days and share updates in Part 2.
